By the year 2215, the hunt for extraterrestrial intelligence has been
over for decades. Off-world artifacts and records have been showing up
for years, accidentally granting Earth knowledge of the vast network of
planets beyond the Milky Way. Humans have even been watching alien TV
shows, learning about their cultures and societies. But humanity's
messages to the stars have been completely ignored. Without the ability
to travel out of their solar system, humans are considered irrelevant
nobodies by everyone else.
But now that is about to
change. The Federated Earthen Nations is launching a team of astronauts
to connect with the peoples of the stars, hoping to finally be regarded
as intelligent life.
And who better to quest with this task than two eccentric 24-year-olds?
This
story tells the tale of Cosmos and Stella as they explore the vast
world beyond the range of human telescopes, meeting new friends, cataloging new lifeforms, fighting off toothy beasts, and usually saving
the day.
